Applying to college may be overwhelming. It is difficult to keep track of what you need to write, ask for, study for, and ultimately submit. While each college and university will ask for specifics, below is a list of the most frequent requirements that you will need to submit:

1. An application form. While some colleges use the Common Application, others ask for a specific form where you should include: personal information, standardized test scores, school credits, extracurriculars, summer activities, essays, honors, disciplinary infractions and an application fee.

Note that you need to list your SAT/ACT, Toefl scores on your application and also submit official score reports. These must be sent directly to the college.

2. Official High School Transcripts. This document lists each of the classes you have taken during
high school, along with the grades and credits that you have earned. Transcript are usually sent directly from your high school to colleges.

3. Counselor and teacher recommendations. Your guidance counselor can have a chance to contribute with information about other special circumstances you may have faced in high school or how you have grown in the academic and social community. In the same manner, your teacher can share how you perform academically in the classroom.
